My Son's First Catch

I've been waiting most of my life to do this.........take my kid fishing....well he got a new rod and reel for his 2 year old birthday and tonight we hit up the back of Nomehegan Lake in Cranford.

We dug up some worms and we found the sunnies......cast and reel! He was very excited and did well reeling in the fish!! Good times

No joke, I was there, first time yesterday after work. Went because it was a listed stocked spot less than 10 min from my work. Didn't see a single posting anywere?? Wonder why?? Hooked up with, but didn't land, a decent trout right at the base of that wall. Saw its shape, but lost it before I could identify it. Caught a mess of sunnies too. It was a small falls yesterday. Didn't try the lake at all though..........

Wow !!! That wall and dam was sooooo much different when I grew up
fishing there....I taught myself to bass fish there...and my dad taught me to fly fish in the lake...:D
