I never witnissed so many feeding fish in one little area. Trout, smallmouth bass, redbreast sunfish and chubs continuously tearing the surface up. Sometimes five fish at a time broke water. All in one foot of water. I caught five brown trout on butterworms.
When I turned to look upstream a grey heron was standing in the water fifteen feet from me. I took a picture with my cell phone. As I was trying to focus the heron in my cell phone five deer walk across the river seventy five feet from me. So now I'm looking at a heron and five deer standing behind him in the middle of the river. It was the best wildlife scene I have ever seen.
