A buddy of mine has been doing well on Greenwood (thanks for the help JRock), so my friend Joe and I decided to check it out. They've lowered the lake a bunch, but I called ahead and found an open marina with a launch we could use. Bought a bunch of shiners from Davis on the way up and jigged as well. Didn't start fishing until noon since my buddy and I both had some things to do in the morning. Action wasn't fast and furious, but we picked away at a few yellow and white perch, a decent smallie and a nice walleye, probably between 4 and 5 pounds. Not bad for a first time out. All fish hit shiners, wouldn't touch the jigs. Not another boat on the lake and a beautiful day out there. Would have said it would have been a nice day on the water even without any fish, but a few fish never hurt.

Nice fish for sure man! That dark coloring is sweet!

What marina did you guys launch from? I may try to get out there before the end of the season. Been hearing some good things from there lately. Did you guys fish the Jersey side or the NY side? Was everything deeper?

I was at Monksville last night doing some jigging for Walleye. Had one hookup over a submerged hump in 35ft of water, but lost it because my drag was set too light : /

Thanks guys!!! Skunk, we launched from Willow Point marina in Greenwood Lake, NY and fished 25 to 35 feet of water on the northern end.
