Mercer County gets boned again. Why Assunpink Creek gets no fall or winter trout is a mystery I'd like solved. It's such a waste to dump trout in Colonial and Rosedale Lake, to many ducks and geese at this time of the year.

Winter stocking is only for lakes where trout typically don't hold over to keep those lakes fishable for another seasons. I don't care for the program, but some people might.

so for us pineys... those of us who might say, for example, fish at Birch Grove Park, what is your preferred method for fishing for pond-trout in cold water (setting aside hardwater, aka ice, fishing for the moment... only referencing "open" waters....) :confused:
