saturday 10/22 went to ken lockwood again with jigs & trout magnets and only ended up with 1 10" trout on the magnet in 2 1/2 hours of fishing. better than getting skunked like last time. at least i didnt lose any lures there. near sundown i waded across the river and saw a school of 7-8 fish of various sizes in a deep slow moving section and would not touch my TM even when drifting it in front of their faces  lockjaw still?

today 10/23 even worse i got skunked at Black River when everyone else caught fish. the only action i got was a 10 second long hookup using a white mr. twister but the fish spat the hook b/c it was dull. the guy fishing across from me in a deep hole caught 2 fish in 10 minutes on LIVE WORMS.<---thats probably the ticket  and also another guy caught a fat huge 21" on a spinner and his friend got a 18" on a rapala of some sort. plus someone walking out with a big one on a stringer. over 5 hours of fishing and none for me  want to try striped bass now.

Wow, I think this was just a tough weekend. Hopefully it will be good until the water locks up.

i cant use live or synthetic bait in Ken Lockwood Gorge. its a TCA. i just like going there in the spring because i'll catch 7 fish in one day on just about any lure in existance. and they seem more active in the dead of winter than fall for some resason. thats when i caught a 16" on a curly tail grub on new year's day this year.

I've caught many big fish in freshwater, and I've yet to use any kind of bait.
