I live in the Mount Laurel/Cherry Hill area. Can anyone tell me where I may catch white perch in the area?

Have caught them at Assunpink (mostly smaller); however AJFISH & Co. have reported much larger catches recently. This lake offers a variety of yellow, white perch and all kinds of pan fish (bluegill, pumpkinseed, crappie), LMB bass, cat fish and freshwater bluefish (pickerel)...mostly need a boat here for success

When I first started fishing Assunpink, I would catch some jumbo white perch up to 1lb. and bigger on a fairly consistent basis. This would usually be in the vicinity of the island. However, I would not catch a lot of them. They did do the spawning thing too in the summer time(if you have never seen it, it looks like a massive pod of bunker being sprayed by stripers). Only other place I have seen it was Parvin Lake down in south Jersey. Nowadays, we catch more numbers and less quality. However, we did see some nice ones last Thursday. Again, this was by the island. Try trolling rapalas and throwing panfish jigs. You might catch a few nice ones and/or find crappies which are abundant but sometimes hard to find on there.
