Hit the lake around 7 am and it was cool today

It was a hard launch at church street due to the ramp was choked with weeds, but I managed. It appears this ramp hasn't been used much this summer?

Twitched the lily pads near the ramp and toward the back with a Super Fluke ( my personal favorite at this lake)

Managed 2 nice LMB between 2-3 lbs and missed a few more as the water was stained and if ya miss the initial hit (this is often a visual thing) ya usually miss the fish. Water was stained with visibility 1-2 ft at best. Also caught 3 pickerel and had at least that many bite-offs. Lots of hits though right off the pads

Perhaps the best part about this fishing is working the pads...seeing the swirl as the fish approaches and then a strike through the pads. Lots of misses but still very exciting.

At least you got a couple of largemouth :) fished right below the damn at milltown saturday and also noticed the water was a bit stained, too....

Nice job. Cold front is making the bass lethargic. Only picked 2 today, one while jigging a Mr. Twister and another throwing a Senko. Defintely going to try there next spring as I want to catch a pike finally.

Lunker, I live right down the street from Church. I launch my kayak right there. Seems that area right by the bridge gets pounded. I've gotta paddle one of these days over to Bicentennial and fish that cove within the broken wall. Looks very fishy. Can't wait for it freeze over, so I can try my hand at landing a pike through the ice (last year my buddy pulled out a 36"er), and maybe some trout as well.

Yeah I know this area gets pounded, but few throw the same pattern as I (personal observation) and Why I think I am successfull there.

Farrington is not about a numbers game...just quality and it often takes lots of casts to get the great fish. I usually fish a larger bait there and rarely see the dink on the other end.

I tend to fish the upper reaches of the lake, have had success down near the dam; however, as per the original post...love them pads up higher

Know the area of the "broken wall" and have had fish there...only in the summer...too scared to go out on the ice:eek:

Farrington is a great spot with large pike ( I have caught a few) and LMB ya just gotta work it to make it produce

Please Catch and Release....I want to catch what you did last week, month, year
