Not good at all. Water was stained, and for the first time in months, the place was dead quiet. Now, when I was there during the heat wave, you still heard some splashing and bait all around you. Not last night. Nothing. I was surprised too because the water was still 70.5*F. Didn't mark anything on the fish finder either. Quite the disappointment.

Went to Spruce Run tonight 4:30 to 7:30. seen several fish on the finder 25 to 30 feet , some around 12 and it showed a few on the bottom, just got it and I'm not an expert by any means but thats what it showed me. I drifted herring between 12 and 25 feet. I had one grab the herring and run like hell so I'm pretty shore that was a striper, I think I was just a little over anxious and he got the herring and I got the hook. Also picked up one small cat and then I got rained on so I headed in.

Nice. We were throwing artificials. Mostly top water but then started throwing spinners, deep cranks and blade baits when those weren't working. Didn't matter where we went, couldn't find a thing. As we were leaving, we almost wish we checked some of the incoming streams/brooks to see if there was fish around those points. Maybe they were sitting on the incoming waters. Who knows.

Was thinking the same thing about the streams, Spruce Run particularly. Just before I left I check the hump in the middle where it's only about 15 or 20 feet and on the back edge I seen a lot of fish around 20. By the time I could get set up in the dark it started to rain and I decided to leave. ( I only have a small boat and didn't want to get caught out there if it started to blow)
