Decided to hit Turn Mill Pond yesterday evening. We were hoping all the fish from Prospertown that were put in there would be on the feed. We got on the water at 5:30 pm. We worked the front of the lake in the pads and trolled rapalas to the back with no success. When we started working the back of the lake, we started to catch fish. It wasn't an all out slam, but it was OK fishing with some quality mixed in. We got off the lake at 7:30 pm. We combined for 6 bass, 2 pickeral, and 1 crappie. Big fish was a 3lb. bass. My dad had that one, along with a SLOB crappie near the 2 lb. mark. An OK evening of fishing, defintely better than Saturday evening. I don't know, 4 trips to this pond with 1 excellant day and 3 poor to fair days:confused: . I guess Ill have to give it another shot in the springtime. Gonna be on Assunpink afterschool today, hopefully we can repeat last Monday's result.

The fish must be displaced and I imagine it will take some time for them to settle in, explore the lake, and finally figure out they are hungry... You can probably get reaction strikes now if you can find them, but a hunger feed might be off for a few more days at least I would think.

PS I want to go there to play around a bit. I dont have a boat though. Whats the best area of the lake to fish from the shore?

On the eastern shore of the pond, just north of the outlet dam, there is a new floating, fishing dock.
ALL of the Propertown Lake fish were stocked off of that dock.

Explains why we caught all of our fish up there. And Joiseystud, I have done OK by the lily pads which can be acessed by shoreline. Only 1 bite there the other day though.

What is the depth like in that lake? I just scouted it from the shoreline but it seemed like the northern part is
fairly shallow.

The boat ramp area is shallow but the other end of the lake is deeper.
