So bought the Mako after having it "inspected" for hull/transom/floor, lies. So got hooked up with a great marina in Brick who could have stuck it to me, long story short sold the Mako to a boat builder for a $200 loss not so bad considering. Marina did not have anything that worked for me then I stumbled across a 25' Robalo at a marina of a sponsor boat. So now I own this 92 Robalo that I close on in 2 weeks, what craziness!

You can thank Allen for that one. ;)

Nice ride and good luck with her. How did those twins sound on the sea trial?

What happened to the "rock solid transom and floor" ??????????????

Who was the "inspector"

What info did you get?

I only ask as to see what you experienced.

Sucks going through nonsense. Just curious what info you were fed as opposed to what reality was.

Good luck on the new, new, ride. She looks nice.

I owned this hull for 10 seasons, no issues, FYI if batteries are still stored in aft side compartments, sometimes water can enter, I raised mine up a couple of inches ,used heavy rubber pads about that thickness. Also if you still have that fold down splash well board in the stern, it was originally velcroed in place , I added latches take wave over stern it on occassion would fold board, that might be changed on this hull since mine was a 79'. Other than that I cannot remember any major issues with hull! Good luck!

Duff, inspector said hull and transom were solid as well as floors except for 1 compartment. Well hull was not solid and needed a HUGE amount of $$ to be safe. The transom though seemed to be good, I was shown by an honest intelligent marina why this statement was only a half truth. Floors were good, but the NJ marina said I was hugely misled by the other inspector on everything else. And the NJ guy charged me nothing! I gotta buy him lunch or something.
