Hit Parvin first thing this morning. Started out at 4:45 am. This can be a decent lake but it can also be very tough. It was pretty obvious when the first hour passed and we had no strikes and no fish that this wasn't worth it. So at 5:45 am we got off the lake and headed for Rainbow.
Hit Rainbow Lake at 6:30 am. Started out throwing topwaters for bass and pickeral and then switched to jigging for panfish, bass and pickeral. We had decent fishing until the sun came out then it slowed down. We got off the lake at 12:00 pm. In that time, we managed 34 bass, crappie, pickeral, sunfish and perch(both yellow and white). Big fish was a 2 lb. bass. This is the second time we saved the day at Rainbow Lake. Hitting Assunpink tommorow, hopefully we will have decent fishing.
On a side note, the carp were mating all over Rainbow. Jumping all morning and chasing each other. At points you could see 2 or 3 fish breaking the surface. Accidentally snagged one but the hook pulled after 5 seconds.
