Got up my buddy wanted to go hit the streams went up to musky and it was ragin so heade over to the valley= good move.Picked up a few bass in the 2-3lb range then watched as 3 big bows coralled small bait and then fed.Ended up go back to my truck and gettin my daughters butterfly net and catchin some bait.Here come the trout again and I pitched the minnow and bam,fish fought like a tarpon with mutiple jumps it was my biggest trout at 26"35692

Don't panic about the eggs, they never make it in there anyway, they need a stream or river to spawn, only laker eggs make it. Looks like good egg sack material for the salmon river, ask Mongers about that.

Always sweet to see them working the shallows and great fun sight-fishing them like that. Congrats on the big catch.

Great looking fish! Let me know how that recipe works out for ya! Looks like my fiance will finally be ready to trout fish next month. How's the shore fishing for trout at RV in June?

I think Brook trout / Lakers can also spawn in lakes no streams...

Brook trout ( char ) Lake trout ( char ) not really in the trout family.
I don't think the State wants brook trout in there, took them a while to warm up to tiger trout.
