Figured I would start this one up. Post to this thread to let us know anything fun/exciting including nice catches, bloopers, or epic fails you might see today!
I'll start it off:
Get up @ 4:00am - good job. An accomplishment on it's own.
Look for keys for 15 minutes - fail
Get to spot at 5:15 - epic awesomeness
Get creeped out bc I realize I'm in my car under a shady bridge that I'll probably be murdered under? Fail
2.5 hrs left.

Fail for me - left my Tackle box in closet. Went back home. Here now. Got a good (hopefully!) spot.
Saw two guys. Nj dfw says this spot is seasonal tca. Sign says different. They will be getting a call from moi.
Cheers. Oh. I posted a video to facebook. We need a facebook group or page, yeah? Votes on that?

There are defiantly otters in NJ. I have seen them in the the manasqan, they were much bigger than a squirrel more like a large cat. They are extremely rare

Other then not catching any fish, everything from getting up, to getting to the lake on time, to not forgetting anything, to beautiful opening day weather, was GREAT!!!:)

buddy and I just fished out in Clinton area. Great time and awesome weather. I was lucky to land 12 keepers and my friend had 7. Best opening day I had in the last couple of years. The water was a little crowded but not to bad. We only kept our limit and released the rest for another day!
Caught them on eggs, spinners and trout magnets.

Awesome! Thanks for the update! I tried the trout magnet first thing today since I was fishing a TCA and i didn't get anything. Definitely will try again as those little suckers look like primo bait and come under good recommendation...
Still can't get over seeing that otter... I'm 100% sure it was one traversing the banks... was awesome. I was making little squirrel like sounds at it from the other side of the river while waiting for my 5 minute, 1 minute and go time alarms... was small, not a very large one, might suggest breeding is occurring which i imagine would be a good sign.

they have worked well for me. Floating with either bublegum or gold colors works good. Good luck!

My friend Capt. Lou and I saw a "Mink" in the South Branch today. We both hunt so there was no doubt it was a mink. It was running along the bank and then slipped into the water. It had a long tail and was very dark brown.
