Hit my local stream again tonite, it never ceases to amaze me how fast the water goes down in this creek ,looks like it drops a couple of inches per day w/o rain!
Running gin clear as usual, fished onlt bugs this PM, to no avail had two shots & that was it! Got there later than I anticipated so I didn't have time to get to my back up spot where I have had hot action on flies, try it tommorrow!
Lookin' forward to fishin' NJ this week , PA's dump mentality on stocking leaves a lot to be desired, miles of beautiful fishable water goes w/o fish or just a token amount. This stream is local to my house so I go there until NJ opens, then only when really short on time. Just good to be fishin' trout again after a missed winter!!

NJ stocking now isnt much better, its what ever is easiest to get down the bank or bridge drop off/
back in the 70's when they used to float stock some of the bigger rivers it was way better.
Feds used to add REALLY nice trout in the mix, float stocking those also.
so if you took a hike and found some remote spots the fishing was great.

Now its so elbow to elbow they should just put a barrel out and lets guys fish in it
