Hit the small spillway this afternoon from 5:30 to 6 pm. My dad had 1 perch and I missed 2 there. We then hit the big spillway from 6:10 to 6:45 pm. There was a ton of foam on both sides but not as many fish as we hoped. My dad had 2 perch and I had 1 perch here. Then we hit the Rancocas Creek for the first time in a long time. First cast my dad missed a pickeral, then we both caught 1 crappie and 1 perch each. The perch were both jumbos about 1 lb each. Left around 7:20 pm. If we had been there earlier and had some small jigs with us, we probaly would have done real well. There is a possibility we might be there tommorow.

What part of the creek if you don't mind me asking?

Right where it Mirror Lake spills into it. Th nearest parking lot is 2 blocks way though. Used to do well with crappies up there, sometimes we would get perch mixed in. I might be there today, I don't know yet.

Thanks for the report. Was trying to get the first striper of the year this weekend. Did you fish from the shoreline or from a boat? Gonna hit Mirror Lake sometime soon.

I fished from my boat. I got 3 fish on rubber worms way back in the shallows, you had to skip it under the cover. I also got a pickerel trolling open water with a jointed rap.
