Today was my first time out this year. I spent about an hour there along. My first cast of the year with the first cast of my new reel and I ended up catching a decent size pickerel. Gave no fight what so ever but it was real nice to get out and feel the rod bend.
Left and went to Assunpink but it was to windy, so I decided to try Rising Sun. Caught one small (10-13 inch) pickerel.

Hell yeah, it was great to get out and try out the new reel and do a little fishing. I have ( Just like you all) have really missed feeling the bend in the rod and just being out doing what we love.
Good thing I have a half day of work tomorrow. I'm planning on going again.

That pickeral rivals the biggest ones we have caught this year. Must have felt great catching him(probaly her actually) on your first cast of the year. Great job;) .
