Myself, Lard, Wilson, and TAB headed to the East and West branch, and upper main stem of the Delaware River for a weekend of trout fishing.
Wilson and Lard drifted day 1 while TAB and I hit the banks, day 2 TAB and I drifted and Wilson and Lard bank fished.
I really don't know where to begin other than great company, great fishing, great weather, great motel. Let me throw up a few photos and think some more.

And when we talk about trout we mean a fish that can hit a lure, peel off 25yds. of line and jump 3 times in about 2 seconds !!

(my bald eagle photos didn't turn out very well)

Andy thanks for the invite 1st. It was good to meet you, Lard and Wilson. For me it was a new environment never wading in "big water" like that before. The views there as well as the quantity of non stocked trout was pretty amazing. . I was partnered with Andy on our 2 day T2P adventure and we started on the West Branch which amazingly did not look like good trout water but they were there, I caught 8 Browns till we moved to the East branch were I got 1 and lost an nice Bow that broke off on the initial run. On day 2 it was our turn on the drift boat where after getting 2 in the pre lunch 1/2 I picked it up in the 2nd half with 1 brown, 5 bows and a chub? I lost at least 3 quality bows that I just didn't hook up on right. They may have swiped at the lure but I think it was more operator error and not getting a good hook set. I will post some pics after I get my laptop back from the geeksquad. I should have taken more advantage of fishing with Andy and picked his brains. I am definately going to fish that area agian. I give myself a solid grade of C, passing but need of improvement particularly in hook setting.

Thanks Andy and Wilson for setting the trip up, and for the invite. Tab, nice meeting you. Hopefully our paths will cross again, preferably on some more amazing trout water. And as long as we're grading ourselves, I'd give myself an A for size, but a D for consistency. Ask Wilson about the shellacking he gave me on Sunday.

Pics below.

Sleep is for wimps, Andy was asleep when Lard and I rolled up on the hotel at 10 PM:eek:
I started out good on the boat Saturday hooked 3 in 1/2 hour, but was bested by the Bass guy at the end of the day. Fishing from shore and wading was a lot better for me. Lard caught a big Brownie but only after taking my advice. I cleaned his clock with quantity.

Fog, frost and bright sun, not to mention 15 to 20 winds on Saturday.
31 degrees on Sunday morning:eek:
Had a great time, caught a ton of wild fish, they fight like no other.

Nice meeting Tab and his lead foot!
70 MPH in a 50...ok I'll be more careful next time officer..not!:D.
Thanks again Andy for putting up and putting it together.

Lard caught a big Brownie but only after taking my advice. I cleaned his clock with quantity. The first thing I did when I got home was cut the tubing off all the hooks on my Mepps spinners.;)
