Hit the hook again this morning. Was told by a fellow leaving "they're gone".
Got a hit on my first cast but it was slooow, picked up a 27"er and lost, I guess, a similar sized fish. Right at 9 am I put on my last clam, since I had to leave, and got my first keeper from the beach. Nice fish, 14 lbs. on the boga and 34" well... that what I measured.
Fortunately, two nice US rangers came immediately by to set the record straight at 32 plus a tad as he put it. Well who am I to argue.
THANK YOU Gerry for the link to the salt water registration site since they asked if I had registered.
Shown below next to a Shiamno 650 baitrunner for comparison's sake.
Man that 20+ year old reel was squeekin' away on this fish.
