Getting rid of the old transome mount transducer. What's the best way to seal up the screw holes below the waterline so the fiberglass is not compromised?
I was thinking either 3M 4200 sealer or Marine Tex. - Opinios?

i personally, would leave stainless screws and 5200 them into the hull! if your not going to replace it or put any watertite putty in there i would do that!
Yeah, best bet is to fill it with 4200 and put the stainless screws back in.
Problem solved.

I would fill the holes with 5200 and then seal with Gelcoat.

10 yrs ago I replaced a transom mount triducer... Filled the holes with life calk and put the old screws back in... to this day I have never had a problem. 4200 or 5200 would be even better!
