Heard about these on the food network so figured I'd give it a go. Buy heads on shrimp at asian market. Take off heads and salt and pepper liberally. Dredge in cornstarch and shake off excess in collander. Deep fry around 370 degrees 40- 50 seconds. Drain on paper towels(if you put newspaper under a few towels it saves you money). Ate them with tabasco and lemon and also tried soy sauce and sesame oil. Pretty darn good. Probably be good with a spicy tomato sauce or tarter sauce.

Looks great, but where are the bodies? Probably awesome the same way? Or can you just buy the heads?

You buy them whole and take the heads off. Shrimp cocktail with the rest tomorrow.

Cant believe I had never thought of this. Just saved me a roll of papertowels a week.
Thanks-

I save some brown paper bags from the supermarket for when I fry things. works great as well.
