Looks like the bar has been set high for us this year. Fished was weighed in at Mikes Bait and Tackle in Staten Island. I seen picture of it and it is a real Brute. I will get the scoop tomorrow when I talk with my buddy from that Marina. I think that is a new NY Record

That is going to be my goal, or at least half the size. My biggest fish was on a Belmar boat with Chris as the Captain. Fishing next to Captain Barry Goldman and it was 9lb. 14. Won both pools that day. What a beast that fish is. Great job...

I was forwarded some info about a 20+blackfish on Nov 9th.
I believe that fish was supposed to be released with an ALS tag. Not sure if it was though....

"It was over 30 inches in length and
Had a 22 inch girth."

Four score and seven days ago our fathers brought forth to SI , a new record, conceived in the atlantic, and dedicated to the proposition that all tog are created equal.

Guy who caught fish is from Sheapshead Bay. THe reason fish was weighed at Micheals is that they have IFGA certified scale.

I would do and use almost anything if it meant catching a 20 lb TOG. I am looking to take baby steps. My next mark to shoot for is a 15 lb mark. When ever I retire and can fish whenever or wherever I want then It will be time to bring down the world record with a 25+ fish.

Go Big or Go Home,
