Season long all species contest

Our buddy Kevin is spearheading a season long multi species contest including all NJ fw game fish (yes snakeheads and flatheads too) It is sort of a trial run to guage interest, participation, and functionality. It was a little rushed, but we will be helping him get prizes to add to the pot throughout the season.

The main concept of the contest is a points based system including every nj fw species. So the biggest 3 fish in each species will be awarded points and totalled at the end for a multi species champion.

All entree fee money is going back into the "prize pot" so it all depends on participation numbers and we are hoping this grows into something that can be like the skillful angler program but with real prizes instead of just patches and papers.

We will in clude the link bwlow, but the league is being run through the FISHING CHAOS app and is called NJ Multispecies Mayhem 2025. Its a free app (small fee to join specific contests) that will minimize any cheating and unfairness. The entree fee is paid right in the app which is $25 plus $3 for the app convenience charge (no way around this sorry)

Smaller separate contests will be held throughout the year for entrants of the league only. Contests such as a bass tournament, walleye/hybrid tournament, and a catfish tournament all depending on participation and what everyone wants to do.

Next year it will be as close to the entire calendar year as possible. It will have many changes based on everyone's suggestions too. Its basically supposed to be a skillful angler program type league/contest. Everyone claimed they didnt care to participate in the state's SA program because they disnt give real prizes so this will be the alternative since the state refuses to upgrade the program despite tripling participation last 2 years.

im registered....my one gripe is that all waterbodies that are either:

- Stocked By NJFW or
- Listed on the NJFW Places to Fish Web App
(https://dep.nj.gov/njfw/fishing/freshwater/places-to-fish-ponds-lakes-reservoirs/)
should be included as eligible. Current the watersheds have been excluded.

Id vote it included too but their argument is that you cant fish it with just a nj fishing license, thats why its excluded
