Went fishing 🎣 in 46 degrees Carnegie Lake this afternoon with 6 other fishermen nearby on a warm, cloudy day with a light south wind after ice out. Saw a lot of common mergansers, mallards 🦆, Canada geese, mute swan, gulls, great blue heron, 3 squirrels 🐿️, people and a dead duck floating on the lake. Took lots of photos. Caught and released 21 white perch, 2 yellow perch and a bluegill with Walmart red worms 🪱 on 4 lb test line. I’m averaging 24 fish 🐟 per trip this year.

Great to see you back out! Dead duck not good. Find dead geese with bird flu in south amboy

Nice early season report, I am not a hard water guy so it's nice to see open water.
Hopefully dead duck is just natural causes. I wouldn't want King Murphy shutting down fishing for bird flu.
