I think I complied enough information to write a book but does anyone even buy books anymore. Judy Shaw wrote a book about the Raritan river and I think she used Rutgers Press. Maybe a $10,000 advance from the book company ? I have an outline already to go. Thoughts ?
Manny Luftglass wrote a whole bunch of books also.

Andy, some 3 million books got published in the U.S. alone last year. Publishers are of course big business, and they wouldn't be making money if no one was reading books.
I think you know that river exceptionally well in many ways. You should read up on how to propose a non-fiction book to an agent or publisher. A small publisher won't require an agent. You don't have to write a non-fiction book before proposing it, unless it's memoir.
I happen to have a book almost done. Most of the work I did off hours from the supermarket. Have taken a two-year hiatus, and took a year and some off before that, too. But I've been working on the book in my head. I'm going to put up a new website before I return to typing it.

I met Manny! I used to sell his books in my bait shop in Phillipsburg!
