Cooke/Omega employs about 270 people in the US? I'd hazard to guess that a helluva lot more people are employed in some form or another by the recreational fishery and the related tourism from this same exact resource.
I'd also guess most of those 270 employees are not getting the kind of profits their employers are. Maybe it has less to do with the regular folks doing the dirty work of catching and processing and more to do with the bottom line for Cooke Seafood up there in Canada.

Money talks, bullshit walks. Funny how every dam fish that I fish for is Overfished except the ones that area netted by the hundreds of tons!! More Bullshit.:mad:

Yes no Kidding Ron! The BS on stock assessments runs parallel to the almighty dollar. Does seem there are a lot of bunker around but hard to believe that the Bay netting doesn't take a toll.

They should at least be pushed out of the Chesapeake but Omega has a political strong hold in VA so not like that's going to happen :mad:
