Spiny Dogfish on the rigs...jigs and everywhere. A couple went back with headaches I think....
Otherwise the togging stunk. Had 4 good sticks out there and the bite never happened. Had a couple shorts here and there and a smattering keepers. 5 total fish on the boat for 4 of us. 3 on rigs and 2 on 3/4oz jig. Was never able to build a bite. Oh well...have a couple more trips before having to pull the boat.

Seems to be a common theme this year, weed through the doggies and shorts to get a few keepers. Deep or shallow?

Started shallow then moved midway out in the Shrewsbury Rocks....next trip going to go deeper.

Thanks gonna give it a shot tomorrow and will report back here... Not expecting much but you know what they say, a bad say of fishing is better than a good day at work.

The endangered dogfish! You catch them in the bay, rivers and ocean. I wonder what impact they have on the population of other fish with their endless appetite? The Blackfish season really needs to open in early October!
