So very sad to announce that Bob passed this morning, Nov 1, around 3am. I will write a better post later, but I wanted to thank all who took the time to go visit him yesterday, and to all who were planning to but didn't make it. With prayers and thoughts from around the world, he was able to transition peacefully and quickly to his next journey.

Rest easy, Marine. Your watch has ended.

The untimely passing of Bob Popovics is very sad news to me, for sure. Bob was the consumate fly fisherman, and tier of spectacular fleyes. I will honor him by tying his designs for the remainder of my life.

A wonderful day for me was being at a seminar with Bob and Lefty Krey. Lefty told me after watching me cast a fly rod, " keep you elbow on a shelf, Art ". He even called me at home once and since I was out, he asked my wife, " Is Art keeping his elbow on the shelf??". She thought it was some kind of code talk......LOL

Thank you Bob and Lefty for making my fishing abilities better. May you both rest in Peace.........Papa
