Was down at the dock prepping for Fridays 24hr trip when the Gambler came in from her 36hr trip with a group of tired but happy people. They had around 50 mixed Yellowfin and Longfin tuna. These were all big fish 50-80 lbs. One had been malled by a large Mako. They also had 10-12 Tile fish and I saw a Skippie mixed in. It got rolling at magic time and carried on through the day. The ride home was rough for the first 60 miles.
I also talked to James about Mondays 30 hr. He also said they had 50+ Yellowfin/Longfin, 1Sword, and a handfull of Mahi. He said that they came off the anchor and drifted early morning and the fish stayed with the boat . Capt. Mike could see Yellowfin chasing poppers from the topdeck.
I hope Capt. Bob fills in some of the blanks. Hope this is accurate. Looking forward to tomorrow night.
