Sure, why not. Urban anglers should get the chance to hook and cook some stockies in their homelands. Hell if they stock the Rahway river they can put just about anything on the stocking list.

I don't get the thrill of fishing for stupid "stockies" anyway.. They are as dumb as a box of rocks, and if you like to eat your catch, they taste and smell AWFUL.. Like a combination of beef liver and dry cat food. I would rather them stock fish that can survive and grow during the warm weather, and provide long term fishing opportunities.. Stocked trout in muddy little ponds die of asphyxiation when the water gets warm if they aren't caught first. I dunno, just seems like a waste.. Those fish should go where they can survive if not caught.. just my opinion for whatever tiny bit its worth.. bob

The concrete trout raised by the state are born to get caught, killed, and eaten. I don't care if they get stocked in a sewer, personally.

100% yes. Everything but the main stem of the raritan should be stocked. :p:p:p
It is all about selling licenses and trout stamp

they should only stock those ponds for kids derbys. they should stock trout in places where they have a chance to live thru the year like spring fed lakes and deep rivers.

Majority of NJ is a put-and-take fishery.

Urban Duck Ponds should not be socked with trout. Most people at these places are unlicensed, they know wardens are not patrolling these places.
Duck ponds should be stocked with catfish, carp, sunfish.
