Pulled in the Gambler parking lot around 4:30am . Less than 20 people on the boat. We turned right when we cleared the inlet . The weather was a little windy and cold. Watched another sunrise and the moon set. Ran down past Barnagate inlet and headed for the first stop and anchored up. Fished on the Sunnyside of the boat to get warm. We had some life and caught lots of short Tog with some keepers mixed in. We found life on every stop today as the wind dropped and the air warmed. We caught some Sea bass which were promptly returned. The pool fish was a monster Tog between 11 and 12 lbs !!! It was caught on a jig/Whitelegger crab. I think that Capt. Bob will put pics on the Gambler site. Caught my first jig Tog on a green jig and a whitelegger crab. Now I see why so many people jig them. We caught on green/whitelegger crabs and clams. There was also 1 big Winter Flounder caught. I'm going to try and go again next week.

My son was the one who caught the pool winning tog. Think he said it weighed #11.5

Pete. Always good to fish with you. Really nice day. Plenty of action. You had to work for them but there were a few nicer keepers. Skolman Jr did a great job with that fish. He deserved it.
The Gambler is headed out everyday on our 10 till 3PM trip until the end of this month.
One more 5AM till 5PM trip this Monday.
