Hit up a Eastmans Fishing in Seaport NH. I know it's a long haul, but the Sunday trip had 3 folks from NJ. It's absolutely worth the trip.

The Full moon made for a lot of tangles, but the captain didn't give up, and found the fish at slack tide, and we were slamming them with jigs.

Fun fact: we need to go through a draw bridge on the way out. The draw bridge operator over slept, so we had to stay in the harbor for an hour. And I thought I knew all the 4 letter words...but on that day I learned a few more.

Absolutely great day. Thanks everyone. Haven't seen a striper in 3 months...

Stiill?!?! When does the run shutdown? I caught my first bluefish in Maine this summer since 2005. When do the blues disappear?

In the NY Bight area, they are typically completely gone by the first week of december inshore.. However, there are always some offshore for much if not most of the winter.. They are caught regularly on offshore wrecks through december, sometimes in impressive numbers.. Not 100% sure but I think some will winter offshore of NJ, not all head south.... bob

That's nuts you can catch stripers year round...For the pollock, we are fishing 30 miles out, at Jeffrey's Ledge at Pigeon's Hill. The big pollock I caught was 12 pounds about 33". However, that was on the small side compared to the next few days. I wasn't on the boat, but the pix they show pollock too big to fit in the tote, they probably are in the 45-50" range about 25 to 30 pounds.

To say the bite is hot right now is an understatement. Guys are coming home with 3 or 4 totes full, absolute massacre this time of year, I'm pretty sure the price of cooking oil spikes in December because of it!

Seriously, tons of guys from NJ come up, the fishing up here is no where near as good as what I see you guys post.
