Headed out of the barn this morning to very calm seas and light winds. My intention was to do some bottom fishing for sea bass, blackfish etc. Hit some #'s that normally produce. Nothing but small sea bass and a few small taug. This wasn't working so it was time for Plan B. I saw some birds working in the distance so I took a ride. To my surprise it was False Albacore aka Little Tunny chasing rainfish. Funny cause I was talking to someone at the bait shop about the lack of them before I went out this morning. There where schools of them everywhere. Casted my favorite jig to them it was game on. Let me tell you these fish really fight and take drag. After catching 6 I decided I had enough. What a great day and nice change from bottom fishing. I hope they stay around for awhile. Tight Lines!

Nice Plan B. Bet it was fun casting to those speedsters! Some days finding is better than eating!

Nothing better than falsies on the light tackle!

How long you in? Talking to Chet yesterday and it looks like a mad rush for the 11/28-29 weekend.

I thinking about doing November also but I don't like the fact from what I understand that my normally rack stored boat will be kept in the water for that month. Do you know anything about this? I went out today and got into some decent Striped bass fishing in the bay. Hopefully we will run into each other one of these days. Tight Lines!

They are a lot of fun and fight like crazy. It's not always about keeping fish with me as you can see. I do the same with stiped Bass. Tight Lines.

Yeah they’ll put ya in the rack docks and move ya around as they are getting all the other boats out for the season. I’m pulling on Halloween. With a busy work schedule and iffy weather in November I’d just rather get the boat home and start togging on the headboats.
