Bought 81 year old brother Joe breakfast, lunch and dinner today and also took him fishing 🎣 in Manasquan Inlet, NJ, this evening. He caught nothing. Weather was sunny, hot and humid during an incoming flood tide nor’easter. Minnows were jumping out of the inlet. Birds were working fish 🐟 swimming north past the end of the jetties. I caught and released 3 3/4 fish: 3 fluke and a bluefish. Tagged 2 undersized fluke. The third fluke had its tail bit off as I was reeling it in. Took pics.

Sounds like a great day of fishing! Hope I’m fishing at 81 like your brother Joe.

The bite pattern is a definite bluefish. Lost the pool one day on a party boat when the same thing happened.

This is a Yellowfin I was reeling in, got cleevered by a Hammerhead. Captain said He watched, I saw nothing. That half fish fought just as hard as any other I've reeled.
