We sailed squid/tuna combo trip on the Yankee Rose out of Pt Pleasant on Monday evening.
It was pretty rough and we had to use heavy 8 oz - 12 oz sinker.
I used JS light 7'6" spinning rod.
Squid bites started slow, but bites became consistent when it started dark.
We set up for tuna using JS graphene jigging rod with live squid. But we didn't get any hit though we saw one boat nearby landed a tuna.
