Lots of small ones on the NY side and scattered larger ones on structure under 50 feet on the NJ side. If you really want to catch numbers with some size, then Long Island Sound and points north. Should be some better numbers of good sized fish off Jersey in mid Sept through late October.

Try inside bug light off the CG station. Anchor up and chum a bit and use clam as bait. They usually are there this time of year. In what numbers and size I can't say. Good luck

Hasn’t been good for pork chops but loaded with croaker.

Hasn’t been good for pork chops but loaded with croaker. It's funny how things change in fishing. 4 years ago that spot was loaded with the biggest kind of pork chops almost all summer long. It might be worth a try again when the water starts to cool. Tight lines.

Agreed. There were times this summer surface temps there were 83-84. I’m sure cooler water will get them filtering in from Rockaway.
