Left the barn in the A.M. Decided to head east and troll some cedar plugs on the edge of the Mud Hole. Trolled the pots in 120ft of water. Had one knock down that got off. The wind started picking up offshore so headed in for some sea bass and fluke. I hit one of my favorite area's and finally the drift conditions where good. Caught plenty of Big sea bass and a bunch of just short Fluke. Lot's of action. The highlight of the day was John hooked into a nice 25" fluke. His PB for the year so far. The fish was caught in 75 ft of water on Gulp tipped with spearing. It looks like the fluke fishing is starting to pick up nicely. Time to get out there on your boat or PB/Charter boat and catch some tasty fish. Tight Lines.

Last wave of fish coming in on the full moon tides. Biggest fish of the year coming in from the east. Happens every year like clockwork, August should be primetime as long as weather holds up.

I was not aware of this. Thanks for sharing this great info. I agree August should be prime time! I'm looking forward to that! Also a west wind today which always seems to get the fish chewing! Tight Lines!
