If fished the backwater in the area. I’ve done better making the trip down to the Savannah area. They fish the floating corks, but you get a ton of bites and have something to bring back for dinner.

I fished the area years ago, good redfish in the backwater, used to castnet live shrimp as bait. Good King Mackerel fishing inshore, there is a marina there where you can find a charter boat and a good tackle shop that can fill you in on all the local information.
