Left the barn early with the intention to fish a few hours and get back before the heat get's to us. Shot right out on calm sea's to my favorite Sea Bass #'s in deeper water. Lot's a nice sized Sea Bass and a few short Fluke. Caught many double header keepers which went back. Caught our 2 fish limit within less than a hour and headed inshore to the Fluke grounds. Plenty of Fluke caught in 35-50 ft of water. Wound up keeping 3 slot's and headed back to the barn before noon. Steady action all day on gulp/jig -teaser rig. 2 oz jig was used most of the day. Good fishing once again. Tight lines.

Nice a lot of people complaining about the slots but our last few trips they saved the day.

Nice a lot of people complaining about the slots but our last few trips they saved the day. I don't mind the slot fish although at times when your catching nothing over 18" it's a pain. As long as I bring home a meal or two of fresh fish I'm good. I can understand both POV's although I do think it helps the bay fisherman a lot. But what really does bother me is one Sea Bass per man. It's ridiculous. There are way more Sea Bass out there than Fluke. Even if they upped the catch to 3 per man it would be a big help to everyone. Tight Lines.
