Gambler switched gears a bit this weekend. Due to the sea bass closure we fished in some rough bottom were we could catch both bluefish and ling, but the blues took over. Plenty of the chompers in the good eating 2 to 4lb range. The bluefish were caught on both bait and jigs. Everyone on board had a great time and went home with fresh bluefish fillets.

The Blues were stacked top to bottom on the depth sounder when we anchored up. White tailed Ava's seemed to work best. Any bait worked with some bottom Fisher persons getting doubles on the Blue fish with high-lows. We also had a nice keeper fluke. Nothing like totes of Blue fish flopping around for a change. Looking forward to Thursday night.
