I go up to Roscoe to a friends lake house for ice fishing. Gonna go up next week to fish the lake for a few days. I understand trout season in NY is open and that being trout town USA I was wondering if anyone knows wadeable places with access for a senior and and 13 y/o. Any info/thoughts are appreciated

Go on the NYDEC website, there is plenty of public access points on the Beaverkill and Willowemoc in and around Roscoe. At the least drive along old Rt 17 and you'll see some of the parking areas.

Definitely saw a few public accesses. Gonna definitely check them out. My friends house is about 20 minutes up into the mountain and there’s streams up there I want to explore. Let my kids run around

Don't be afraid to fish pepacton reservoir from shore either. There is lots of trout to be caught from shore this time of year. The water level is just low enough where walking the shoreline can be quite easy in many places.

Oh absolutely if ya can get that way. Try the rip rap on either side of Rt 30 southern side. Old school Manns jellies or grab some Saw Bellies and have it at.

Loved “Old School Mann’s Jellies”.
That’s Mann’s jelly worms for the youngins out there who may not remember them, caught my first largemouth on a 4 inch purple ( grape ) worm.
They had like 4 or 5 colors, but they worked !
My dad got ‘‘em for me at Two Guys in East Hanover, where Dicks Sporting Goods is now back in the ‘70’s….
