I have a 2009 f250 BTXR yamaha 4 stroke. While removing the lower unit I stripped the female threads on the longer bolt next to the anode bolt.Does anyone know the thread pitch of this bolt is.I need it to buy a tap to re-thread it.Thanks

Not sure .. but suggestion.

The manufacturers usually use same pitch on similar sized bolts in that area. Remove another nut nearby. and see if it fits that stud. Eureka. You have pitch. Or buy feeler guage set to match the pitch of threads per inch on the nutless stud youre looking to find a nut for.

Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the reply Captain. I took one of the bolts to Ace hardware. I didn't realize how easy it was to match up to get thread pitch. Lower unit is back on.
