Because of the conditions, we anchored up first thing this morning and it didn’t take long to chum up the MACKEREL. We also had good action with the 2 lb. BLUES on jigs. It was good steady action till mid-day and then it slowed up. We decided to make a handful of drifts at the end of the day and were able to pick at the BLUEFISH on a few drifts.
Overall, it was a steady day of fishing on the MACKEREL and BLUES with shots and flurries at times.
Come on down and enjoy this beautiful late summer, early fall weather and spend the day fishing on the Golden Eagle.
See you in the morning.
The GOLDEN EAGLE sails every day for STRIPERS & BLUES at 7:30 am from Belmar Marina in Belmar, NJ.
