Great morning of kingfishing in south,nj on saturday. Pretty much non stop from 6am-8am then a south current seemed to come up & had to up the lead & bites got tougher. Awesome size too actually fileted most of em when I'm used to the gut and cook method with the 8inch models. A mix of both northern & big southern, brought home 20 & release alot more once we saw the bigger ones. Devon won #species war with North & South kingfish, a spot & a calico crab.

Sunday we were invited by my bromance partner Davetats for a day of summer flounder fishing with an NSB in Brielle. Weather was spectacular but fishing was tough. Lots of snagged fluke & non committal bites , pulling gulp down hook & biting tails off.

Super proud of Devon, as us "pros" were switching jigs & gulp every 10 seconds dev stuck with a heavy jig, a giant hook & was hi hook with 4k orl she also had a few keeper sea bass & a robin to solidify species war win for a second straight day. Devon was highly motivated thanks to Tats brilliant idea of doing fish bingo & dev got bingo 1st without needing to eat a peanut. Dev also got to see her first whale ever which she was super stoked for. I had 2k & a keeper sea bass to go with a ton of shorts with alot being foul hooked. I was however hi hook on fishtown teas, love city ipa's, city distillery pouches, & sea isle lemonades. Capt Alex worked his ass off for us going all over the ocean trying to find that patch of fish , kids work ethic is second to none. Hope the entire fleet enjoyed seeing my a$$ as well
