An ill wind blows

Tough morning on the fluke grounds. At first it wasn’t too bad. At least fishable. However as the morning wore on, the winds kicked up…and all hopes of a decent catch disappeared.
Final tally…3 shorts and a robin. Not good, but it felt incredibly good to just get out.
Looks like most boats have canceled trips for this afternoon. To all going out on future trips, good luck!

I remember many years ago as a young kid, maybe 10, reading a statement in a fishing book.. It made an impact then and its stuck in my head close to 60 years now- I have found it true 100% of the time.
