Gambler has been drifting and anchoring for fluke and sea bass. The fluke are lethargic but we are getting good catches of sea bass up to 3lbs. There have also been some bigger sized red hake in the mix too.
Our friend Duff was out with us yesterday and he landed 8 keeper sea bass, a 3lb keeper fluke and two nice sized ling.
Regular Julie was out yesterday and she targeted fluke, landing two keepers up to 3.5 lbs, plus some sea bass.
The weekdays are still very light crowds, so there is a good chance that you could just walk-on and pay docksides --just check the weather first.
Our Nite Wreckin' trips start this Thursday and we will be targeting sea bass, ling and other species (like squids and flounder) in deeper waters. Nite Wreckin' trips will go every Thursday, Friday and Saturday through the summer. Our night trips are a great way to have fun by yourself or with friends and family --and load the freezer with fillets.
The Gambler is super wide and family friendly --and currently limiting our decks to half-capacity for your safety and enjoyment.
Hope to see you aboard
