Incredible fishery in their backyard .

Yet boats from Belmar and PP , are filling boats making the long run to get up there to fish ( and doing great ) .
Burning a ton of fuel to do so .

The PB Fleet is wiping out the Striped Bass LMFAO I wouldn't want to run a PB in that crowd either.

I’m sure weekends it is a PIA.
But would think weekdays or afternoon trips would be great with a short run to the fish .

Ocean bass fishery so far has been an absolute bust , so anyone wanting stripers the RB is where you need to go .

Possibly because with the amount of boats on the bay, a large boat with guys flinging spoons and shads doesn’t produce that well? Just a thought, I honestly don’t know.

Seems like once the crowd builds, the only guys on the fish are the trollers.

Yesterday at sunup there had to be 1,000 boats spread from a Great Kills to Roamer. That’s alotta boat noise!

I agree Hammer. I am by no means a “sharpie” and have limited access to minute to minute intel and have still found fish every time I’ve been down this year. The fish are spread out all over and it’s not too difficult to find a body of fish away from the crowds. We’ve been able to get them jigging too so it’s not like it’s solely a trolling game only. Of course I’ve avoided the weekend mayhem and I’m sure that’s a completely different story.

The AH party boats also have a pretty good fluke bite 15-20 min. from the dock. They don't need to chase birds at $7 a gallon.

That pretty much sums it up! While I was out there trolling bass no problem most of the PB's I observed jigging when not getting much and driving all over the place. Now that Sea Bass season is open I doubt you will see Belmar PB's in the bay fishing for Stripers!

2 Half day Boats, 1- 3/4 day boat and one out of action for a bit......I'd hardly call that a fleet Dan.....Belmar boats are all Sea Bass fishing as well as I.
