Thinking of taking a ride with the kids this afternoon in search for some beach stripers. Anyone know any areas producing along the raritan bay? thanks

I'd stop in and see Pete at Atlantic Bait and Tackle for the skinny on who's doing what and where... It's been inconsistent in the back but I think today's the day it really turns on. We're off the moon, the bay should be fairy cleaned up by now after the deluge earlier this week and the temps should have the water warmed up a bit to turn on the feedbag. Just my humble analysis :)

Better off checking the tides, and see where they are in late afternoon/evening when things quiet down and the sun isn't bright, and take you drive then.. a bright sunny mid afternoon in a few feet of water is not really the best time for stripers... There are always some to be caught this time of year in the Keyport /Union Beach/Keansburg area, but beach access is not the same as it was when I lived there, not sure where you can fish there these days... Years ago, it was really open, today, not so much, and I am not sure how much info you will get from locals.. Hopefully someone else chimes in...
