It is starting to happen,,,this week the bunker showed up back inshore all along the beach in the Shark River area...The gannets were right alongside dive bombing on em to....No stripers yet in them but its just a matter of time...The water temp offshore got up to 45 degrees on the surface and we had 49 degrees on the outgoing tide when we came back in...We also started seeing Sea bass show up already offshore where we have been codfishing..It is shaping up to be a early spring....We are catching a few codfish each trip along with a handful of ling so nothing great to report besides the conditions are shaping up nicely...Tomorrow the weather looks very nice and we are fishing...Taking a shot at a nice codfish or ling and I will be keeping my sights on the first striped bass to show in the bait....Hopefully any day...Let you know if it happens...See ya tomorrow..730am departure if you want to come down..
