Our last trip to the canyon was good on Longfin and yellowfin tuna. The fish ranged from 30 to 70lbs. It was rough conditions so we were happy with the amount of fish landed. A good percentage were taken on jigs.
The water out there looks very good, still. I think the good tuna fishing should hold up out there, at least through the rest of this month.
The ***Gambler has added an additional 24 hour Canyon trip, Leaving Tuesday night, the 23rd at 9PM. There is still plenty of room but do not wait too long to sign up. We have rental gear and tackle on board. The cabin is heated. We have a limited menu in our galley --so bring whatever you'd like to eat and feel free to use our microwave on the counter. Coffee is always available. Bring a sleeping pad and bag or blanket and a pillow. Leave a cooler in your car or truck for fillets. We have ice.
The Gambler is running Offshore Sea Bass Trips only one day a week through December. Fishing offshore 55 to 75 miles, trips leave at 11 and return by 6 or 8 the following night. Room is still available on most of these trips. Check the dates and sign-up on our website.
Our Striped Bass trips are scheduled to run everyday except Weds, into December.
Striper fishing has been on and off so far but there have been some really big fish, along with some bluefish. The stripers have been taking artificial shads and spoons.
Hope to see you aboard
