We shoved off at 4:00am to calm seas . Ran East three hours to pot hop. We went one for seven on chicken Mani on the first drift. Hooked something large on the next drift. The customers handle knob fell off his reel but he could still reel. After a 15-20 minute tussle we gaffed a large Mahi that weighed 18lbs at the dock and took the pool. We got two more around 15 lbs on the next three or four drifts. We got three more chickens and a falsie before before the bite shut off.
Capt. Mike took us to Yellowfin lump for a few drifts. We caught a bunch of Sea Bass that went back while jigging for Falsies and Bonito. We got 1 Falsie and a few Chub Mackerel. We made another move inshore and got a few Bluefish, Sea Robin's, and a large Skate. I hope someone posts the pics of those Mahi. A nice day on the water.
